Types of attachment
The SkanCraft attachments we match to machines most often, and what they are for. Each comes in several sizes and is chosen for the weight and hydraulics of the particular machine.
Hydraulic compactors
A vibrating plate mounted on the excavator arm. It compacts backfill in trenches, around foundations and on slopes — where a hand-guided compactor cannot reach or works too slowly.
Crushing buckets
They crush concrete rubble, brick and stone on site, so demolition material can be reused as aggregate instead of being hauled away.
Earth augers
They drill holes for posts, pad foundations, fencing and planting. Auger diameter and length are chosen for the ground and the machine's hydraulic output.
Hydraulic brushes
Sweeping yards, roads and paved surfaces — on site and in grounds maintenance.

An attachment has to suit the machine in three ways: the operating weight of the excavator or loader, the hydraulic system — flow and pressure — and the way it mounts on the arm, whether by quick coupler or pins. A tool that does not suit the machine works inefficiently, wears faster or overloads the machine.
That is why we ask about the machine and the work before suggesting a model. Attachments can be bought, rented or taken on rent-to-own. Have ready:
